With the increase
of the amount of years individuals are retired, there have been
increases in the costs associated with the care for the elderly.
Many elderly people, even people with fairly substantial assets,
eventually have financial difficulties handling the costs of their
care.
Perhaps more than
any other area of the law, an elder law attorney needs to be sensitive
to a client’s needs and wants, be patient, communicative and
supportive. These traits are at the core of my philosophy of
practicing law.
I have assisted
clients with numerous areas of elder law including asset planning,
Medicaid qualifying trusts, problem solving, estate planning and long
term care planning.
I have experience
working with all areas of estate planning, probate law, drafting wills
and trusts.
I am a member of
the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and am an active
participant in the Illinois Chapter of NAELA. That provides me
with a network of additional resources with which to help my clients.
